sir,
June the 16th, 1914.
In further reference to the letter from the Department of May the 28th last, the Committee have pleasure in recommend- ing Hiss H. Benson to the Secretary of State as a suitable candidate for one of the three present vacancies on the Nursing Staff of the Hong Kong Medical Department.
I beg herewith to enclose Kiss Benson's application
form and papers, and to say that she will be prepared to leave
England towards the end of July.
I am,
sir,
Your obedient servant,
Imencel Hawkins
Chairman of Nursing Committee.
The Under Secretary of State,
Colonial Office,
S.W.
P.S. Miss Benson's address from to-day for a week is;- The Vineries,
Kill Hill,
London, N.
She then proceeds to Brighton and would, therefore, feel grateful if in the event of her being accepted for the Hong Kong vacancy she might be asked to undergo the medical examination while in London this week, as it would be difficult for her to leave her work to come up for this purpose later.
